Let me introduce you to Ludo, a 3-year-old Maine Coon hailing from Wakefield, England. This furry feline isn’t just any ordinary cat – he holds the title for being the world’s largest Maine Coon as well as the largest house cat. Despite his size, Ludo is a gentle giant who adores his human family and serves as their dependable fluffy bodyguard.
Ludo, a kitten from a litter, was known for being the largest among his siblings. His size was so significant that many people who saw him did not believe he was still a kitten. Before he even turned one year old, Ludo already weighed 20.5 pounds. On October 6, 2015, he was officially measured by the Guinness World Records and was declared as the world’s longest domestic cat, with a length of 118.33 cm or 3 feet and 10.59 inches.
Ludo is a big and gentle cat who enjoys watching over and protecting his human family. He has a special fondness for his tiny 9lb baby brother, Ryder. Even when he was just a kitten, Ludo was protective of his human family and became best friends with his other little brother, Cameron. Ludo and Cameron are as thick as thieves and Ludo is always by his side.
“Kelsey described him as a gentle giant with a soft and relaxed personality, almost like a big teddy bear.”
It seems that he takes pleasure in staying close to both of our sons, almost as if he is keeping an eye out for them.
The connection between these two individuals is truly unique and special!
